Flaska från SB. Rejält tryck med den uppskruvade alkoholen utan att det blir spretigt eller för mycket. Söta päron, marsipan, belgoestrar och kryddiga alkoholvibbar och en tydlig pepprighet. En riktig vintervärmare som inte ligger jättelångt från originalet. Gott

Short-lived off-white head over metallic copper beer. Exotic sweetness in the nose, as an (alcoholic) maple syrup, bit nutty, succulents, old oak. Sweet, almonds, boozy. Faint hints at vegetables and, well, knowing it, agave/succulents. And lots of hints at raw alcohol. Warming up there is a very faint smoky flavour. Alcoholheat. Very slick if nowhere sticky. Not very carbonated. The whole American continent, Bourbon, rum, now tequila... Hedwig, ik begrijp fascinatie voor het exotische, maar zoek het eens dichter bij huis? Armagnac, Calvados, Pineau des Charentes, Noyac (Armenian Brandy). And how about a recreating of the Duvel x Hof van Kleve? Txs to Stef!

In de bonus bij Appie... Iets troebele gele kleur een een kraag die je van Duvel gewend bent: hagelwit, fijn, komt tot aan de rand van het (Duvel) glas en zakt maar langzaam in. Geur is ook nogal Duvel achtig, wat fruitig en hoppig. Retronasaal is dat ook zo, met wat typsiche Duvel (of zelfs weizen-) gist en wat karamel mout. Smaak is licht bitter, fruitig. Flink wat koolzuur Medium body. Bitterheid neemt wat toe in de afdronk, iets droog. Als je 8,5% teveel vindt is dit een prima alternatief.
