Bottled. Blood red colour with a small pink longlasting head. Aroma is sweet cherries, some sugary tones with mild wood. Flavour is cherries, mild nutty tones with some sugary tones and mild wood. Kind of cherry syrup in the finish and aftertaste.

Bottle at 7% from House of Trembling Madness. It pours clear copper - brown with a lasting, fluffy off - white head. The aroma is sweet and spicy, caramel, toffee, gingerbread, cinnamon, brown bread, wood and nut. The taste is dry, nutty, varnished wood, bitter - sweet, chewy, caramel, toffee, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, warming festive spice, gingerbread, earth, light tannin and a nip of booze with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Decent festive Belgian number. Drinks well.

Bottle. Clear amber. Sweet malts, cardboard, grassy hops, earthy, soft alcohol, paper. Medium sweet and bitter. Over light bodied. Quite bad, but at least it’s bitter I guess. Bleh.

Tap at Beerhousr Craft & Kitchen, Vilnius. Clear copper colour, small off-white head and lace. Sweetish tropical fruits in the nose. Light-bodied. Clean, some tropical fruits and pine.

Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a large thick foamy white head. Aroma has caramel, spice, biscuits and stoney fruits. Taste has more of the caramel, peppery spice, biscuits and stoney fruit notes. Nicely balanced. A light earthy hop on a dry finish. Medium body and a slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Decent Christmas Belgian beer.

330ml bottle from HoTM. It pours clear rich golden with a thick, fluffy white head. The aroma is quite fragrant and floral upfront, cereal, hay, touch of nougat, estery fruits, pear, honeydew melon and apple crumble. The taste is fairly dry and crisp upfront, snappy, bitter - sweet character, sponge cake, honey drizzle, nougat, hint of spice, pear, melon, toffee apple, sugar almonds and a kick of booze withe a dry, warming finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Well put together. A nice example of the style.
