En lisant les ingrédients de cette Super 8 Flandrien, j'avoue avoir eu peur : Sirop de glucose, sucre, sirop de sucre inverti maïs, extrait naturel (de quoi?), antioxydant (acide ascorbique). Cela ne met pas réellement en soif. Le visuel est sur un joli blond doré limpide avec une fine effervescence et une mousse blanche nappant la surface. En bouche, cela n'est pas terrible comme je m'y attendais, tant par les arômes que par l'équilibre. Le nez est sur une alliance céréales, alcool et pomme de terre avec une pointe de coriandre pas exceptionnelle. A la dégustation, une acidité peu appréciable apparaît sur les mêmes aromes qu'au nez. La corpulence est plutôt bonne avec un alcool qui fait plus que son titrage (6,4 %). Faire une bonne bière avec tant de cochonneries aurait été incroyable. Il n'y a pas eu de miracle.

Bottle from HoTM. It pours clear deep amber with a frothy white cap. The aroma is sweet, sticky, sappy, piney, resinous, toffee, caramel and brown bread. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, sappy, oily, resinous, pine, peppery spice, caramel/toffee, dried florals, touch of waxy peel and alcohol presence with a dry finish. Medium body, moderate foamy carbonation and oily mouth feel. Quite old school and malt laden. Drinks easy enough. Fair.

Panda at a campsite in Logroño. Thanks to Colin for this one. A light hazed brushed gold coloured pour with a a lasting white froth. Aroma is soapy, corriamder seed, soft wheat, tangerine, clove, mineral. Palate is crisp, light tang, grainy, highish carbonation. Twist of lemon.

Fruity sweetish. Moderate bitter with a nice but bitter strawberry chewing gum aroma. Artificial refreshing, bitter, strawberries. Grainy.
