I feel like I enjoyed the bulliet bourbon one more I think, or I was younger, who knows this is good though, don't really get much of the guinness except maybe on the finish, upfront bourbon chocolate is there, some tobacco, nose is light. Lingering booze

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours clear dark brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma is gingerbread accompanied by bourbon. Spice notes. Med body or better. Flavor is gingerbread/spice with dark toffee and bourbon. Wood notes. Extremely well done. Wish I'd had it for Xmas.

12oz bottle from Hops & Bottles. Near black pour, ring of tan head. Aroma is sweet, malty with some woody, bourbon accents. The barrel aging really comes through in the taste, soft bourbon flavors, mildly sweet malts and a bit of latent warmth.

Lots of bourbon here, and not much Guinness, which was what I was really here for. Roast, some oak. Black pour with initial head, doesn't retain well. Some leather, molasses. Tangy bitter end. Too much bourbon. Bottle.

Bottle (LO252T2001 232 -- 252nd day of 2020?, who knows) pour from trade with Johnnnniee--thanks, John! Appearance is opaque black (dark brown at bottom of glass) with trace sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger-width foamy light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is mostly mellow bourbon--earthy, roasted malts and dark fruit take a back seat and hint of vanilla. Taste is initial strong earthy roasted malts, toffee, vanilla, dark fruit, then complemented by bourbon 2nd half. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, average carbonation, nice alcohol warmth in the esophagus and finish as taste. Overall, enjoyable well-balanced aroma and flavor but pedestrian look and feel is thin.

Boozy, gingerbread, nonsense. Taste like fireball. Disgraceful.

Pour is more of a dark brown rather than black with a small tan head. Aroma is a real nice smoky barrel with bourbon notes. Flavor is sweet dark chocolate with bourbon a little vanilla and dark fruit. This was good stuff. Not as thick and motor oil heavy as some Impy stouts but the bourbon barrel flavors were spot on and extremely flavorful..
