Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a large, mostly creamy, tan head. Lots of bourbon/vanilla and dark toasty malt in the aroma. Med body or a bit better. Lots of bourbon/vanilla. Malt is dark and toasty. Wood astringency. Raisin/date notes. Not really dry. Bitter - likely from heat and malt. Excellent complexity and flavor.

Bottle from Redstone Liquors Dark brown in color, brilliant clarity, with a creamy off white head that persists. Roasty earthy with a hint of bourbon and vanilla. Caramel and a light oxidative fruitiness. Pretty good, but needs more body IMHO.

Can thanks to AJ. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is cocoa and roast. Slick body, roast, licorice, dark chocolate, chicory, dry finish, good.

Pretty good, really. Real nice foamy frothy long-lasting light tan head. Lots of lace. The aromas are dark malt, roast, chocolate malt, toffee. Flavors are like nose, low bitter, well balanced with good carbonation. Real good body and finish. Easy satisfying drinking.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a snifter. Aroma is caramel, medium body, lower carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is wood, malt, and some bourbon.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of burnt malt. Taste has sweet malty note, viney finish. Palate has a burnt, slightly herbal finish. Meh.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malt a huge coconut and oak barrel with some booze. Flavor is a minor roasted malt but all things bourbon barrel. Nice char oak with coconut and bourbon. Alcohol is here all over the place but not too heavy but just enough to warm the chest. This was awesome stuff! They got everything they could out of the barrel and then some. Average base beer but this is all about the bourbon barrel.

Draft at The Mansion. Pitch black with a small beige head. Slight dark chocolate aroma. Smooth, clean and lightly creamy mouthfeel. Overall a middle of the road stout with the lactose helping to smooth things out. Not as flavorful as I expected, but still good.
