4 oz. draft sample at the brewery. Aroma has mild citrus on top of toffee, yeast, and earth. The flavor is probably the best I have had in an amber ale in a long while. The citrus hops come through to cut the yeast and sweet toffee. Body is medium. I known this Brewer has talent when he can brew an Amber ale that is actually interesting and not boring. Well crafted!

4 oz. sample at the brewery. Aroma and flavor are a reflection. Roasted malt backbone with plenty of chocolate. Hints of earth. The body is full for the style and has a creamy texture. Bitter chocolate for balance. Real nice!

32oz crowler pours with a dark mahogany colored body that has infrared hues and supports a thin light tan head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up molasses, cracker, dark roasted malts, earthy molasses, caramel and then sweet smelling malts into the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth inviting dark roasted malts and sweet malt infused molasses. Toward midway a sweetened earthy smokiness and burnt to charred maltiness bubbles to the surface. I'm really enjoying the blend of flavors created here. A tad earthy and smoky, sweet and burnt malts. Loving this.

32oz crowler pours with a murky opaque dull copper body that has both bronze and gold hues and supports a tall dirty white head of foam that leaves behind some spotty lacing. The aroma offers up pulses of pineapple, grapefruit, guava and a bit of nectarine. The taste delivers confusingly smooth inviting sweet juicy pineapple, cantaloupe and malt sweetened grapefruit and zero sense of the ABV. None. To midway a murmur of spicy hop bitterness is noticed alongside a bit of tangy grapefruit. Solid brew that is dangerously drinkable.

32oz crowler pours with a clear mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The mild aroma offers up malts, a bit of nuttiness, biscuit and faint cracker. That works. The taste delivers smooth semi sweet malts leading to some thin nuttiness, a sense of woody vanilla and then a sense of cracker toward the finish. Nice crushable Mild. I can drink a lot more of this.

32oz crowler pours with a clear gold colored body that supports a white head of foam. The aroma offers up flowery hop notes, bready malts, flower nuanced oaky vanilla and then a thin cracker like sensation toward the end of the draw. The taste is similar as it delvers flowery modestly bitter floral hops amid a blend of thin bready malts and sweet vanilla oak like notes. To midway the floral hops grow in bitterness and help in progressively pulling this experience apart as the assembly of notes really aren't going well together. Sad really

22oz bomber pours with a murky brown to copper body that supports a thin light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet smooth boozy rye whiskey, boozy vanilla, a flash of oak and then a mild nuttiness. The taste delivers smooth soft sweet vanilla and molasses nuanced boozy whiskey and faint boozy oak. To midway a mild nuttiness is noticed. This is really barrel forward as I'm getting very little beer flavors in this beer. The lack of balance is disappointing. Did this beer start as a brown ale or a porter? No way to know. This would rate much lower but the over the top barrel character was supple and smooth. So there's that.

Pint can pours with a murky brackish opaque dull papery gold copper body that supports a nice near white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, pineapple guava, papaya and a mild berry and floral sensation. The taste delivers pleasing softtropical juiciness with mango, pineapple, guava and papaya flowing into a modest level of grapefruitlike citrus hop bitterness. Well off in the background are notes of pale malts and oats. Solid IIPA that's still nimble enough to be crushable. Wow!

16oz can pours with a murky copper body that has thin gold hued edges and supports a near white head of foam. The aroma offers up peach, citrus and spicy hops as well as some cantaloupe and mango at the end of the draw. The taste delivers smooth soft thin cantaloupe and mango flowing into spicy hops, a thin mint note and faint earthy tea. Nice. This creates a pleasing bitter citrus, earthy spicy hops, a juicy tropical juiciness and then a mild cracker like malty blend into the finish. Solid.
