16 oz. can, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals tropical stone fruits, a touch of chalk, and some gentle dankness. Flavour is quite bitter, with lots of piney hops, plenty of dankness, a touch of spiciness (from the rye), and dry biscuity malt. Spicy, dank, piney and bitter. Very good.

Pint can pours with a murky opaque dull gold copper body that supports a full near white head of foam. The aroma offers up mango, cantaloupe, tangerine and then maybe a berry sensation flowing into sweeter smelling honey dew into the end off the draw. The taste delivers smooth balanced hoppiness. I get soft sweet mango and guava and then cantaloupe blended into tangy tangerine rimmed with bitter grapefruit citrus hop notes. To midway a murmur of raspberry is noticed as it becomes a little more bitter to vaguely astringent into the finish. Yep. This really doesn't become too sweet like 95% of the offerings from this style but has plenty of balance and depth.

Pint can pours with a deep dark used motor oil darkness that supports a thin dark mocha head of foam. The aroma begins with a pulse of plum and date and even raisin like fruity esters flowing into some dark roasted malts, chocolate and a nice layer of caramel nuanced barrel character. The taste delivers sweet dark fruity esters in the form of plums, dates and raisins. It then quickly brings up sweetened dark roasted malts, a sense of reduced sugars and chocolate infused with booze. To midway the barrel character bubbles to the surface creating another depth of goodness. This really comes together nicely. Great sipper.

22oz bomber pours with a clear mahogany colored body that has deep copper hues and supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting molasses drizzled dates and prunes as well as a firm degree of almost candy like smooth smelling bourbon barrels leading to a bit of boozy heat at the end of the draw. The taste delivers a wash of caramel and molasses smooth sweetness deepened by slick sweet malts leading to integrated date and prune like sweet dark fruity esters. Nice. To midway the supple smooth bourbon begins to be heard as the booziness rises. So nice. The balance, the depth, the flavour harmony are really making for a wonderful sipping experience. A-game barleywine.

22oz bomber pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting reduced sugars of toffee and caramel, thin supple bourbon and a dash of dark fruity esters. The taste delivers plum slathered blunted oak, smooth bourbon and then a pleasing array of toffee, caramel and a thin layer of molasses. Nice. Underneath those notes are murmurs of dates and figs and plums. This is well integrated with great balance and depth. This is likely to only improve a bit with some cellar time but is pretty spot on at the moment.

Pint can pours with a deep dark black void of a body that supports a short lived light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up a blend of dark fruity esters and dark roasted malts flowing quickly into chocolate and a growing inviting vanilla sensation. Another whiff brings up a hint of spicy black licorice. The taste delivers smooth slick sweet malts blending with date to plum sweet dark fruity esters and spicy black licorice. To midway sweetened dark roasted malts and an upwelling of inviting fresh vanilla mingle effortlessly with lingering sweet dark fruity esters. Nice sipper.

Pint can pours with an opaque hazy pale papery gold colored body that supports a thin bright white head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting orange and tangelo and then getting into tangerine and mango ending in a faint whiff of cracker. The taste delivers similar notes of juicy orange and tangelo citrus fruitiness edged thickly by tangy and modestly bitter tangerine notes. Yes, this is juicy, tangy and has a firm yet restrained grapefruit like hop bitterness. This creates a pleasing hop harmony. Nice.
