Can from the Packie. Deep golden in color with a decent sized beige head that slowly recedes. Earthy citrus with caramel and dark sugary fruitiness to counter. Bits of alcohol and light toffee round this out nicely.

Can pour from The Beer Store. Appearance is opaque dark yellow-light brown with no sparkle, finger-width off-white creamy foam head with good retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is sweet Concord grape and other fruit, late yeast as it warms. Taste is strong Concord grape. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong sweet Concord grape but not a lot else--not getting the orange/pine/pineapple. Gets the benefit of the doubt because I don't think I've had a hop that tastes like this.

Can pour from The Beer Store, Nashua. Appearance is opaque dark yellow with no sparkle, finger-plus-width foamy white head with decent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is sweet strong nondescript sweetness (mild pineapple? light grape?), mild herb. Taste is strong white grape, grains, citrus, fruit, mild herbal/vegetal (more as it warms). Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, frothy texture, average-to-lively carbonation, spiciness and finish as taste. Overall, aroma and taste are fairly strong, though taste

14 ounce draft. A near clear red / amber color. Flavor is mostly malty sweetness, mild citrus with a touch of herb in the finish. Balanced. Well made but average.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is opaque, dirty looking, more light brown than yellow with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of off-white head and trace lacing. Aroma is nondescript fruit, some pine bitterness balance. Taste is a grape, melon, berry fruitiness (though when put in my mind, the berry might be strawberry), lemony citrus and light bitter balance. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and dry finish as taste with lingering bitterness. Overall, nice for a single hop. Certainly sweet, but the strawberry and lemon is more apparent after it's put in your brain than beforehand. 3.7 or 3.8

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is cloudy, more light brown than yellow with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with a little bit of lacing at the top of the glass. Aroma is citrusy and spicy. Taste is a fruity citrusy mix (leans toward the orange-tangerine side) with some spiciness--what el dorado should be. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, some decent complexity, and really showcases what el dorado can do. 3.7-8

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is cloudy, yellow-light brown with no discernible sparkle, thin ring of off-white head with good retention and nice, soapy lacing. Aroma is muted citrus, fruit, mild herb. Taste is lemon-orangey citrus, maybe a little grapefruit with grains in the background and a fairly heavy bitter component. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick, granular texture, soft carbonation with finish as taste with lingering bitterness. Overall, nice look, somewhat weak aroma, decent flavor and mouthfeel. Doesn't wow me, but well crafted.

Taster pour on tap at the brewery. Appearance is opaque, more dirty yellow than brown with no sparkle and thin ring of off-white head. Aroma is herbal. Taste is strong sweet berry, melon and grape along with an herbal nature and hint of coconut. Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with fairly thick , smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, the fruit isn't as tropical as advertised and the coconut not as strong but some decent complexity and fairly on the mark. 3.7-8

Got in a trade with SawDog505. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slight lingering resins/rinds through the glass. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.8%. Overall this is an incredible NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/drying finish; amazingly soft feel. Amazing Galaxy, Columbus profile. Extremely juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example. One of their best I've had yet.
