On tap @ Beerfestival Groningen 2018. Hazy amber with a white head. Hoppy caramel aroma. Bittersweet and semi-dry. Nice unobtrusive farmhouse ale.

Real nice! Loads of vanilla, but just enough to keep it tasting like vanilla and not get metallic. Smooth drinking, tiny bit spicey. Just a bit watery, but a pleasant surprise. Not overcarbonated, glad they fixed that. Ice cream.

Bottle 330ml. @ [ Hotel Room tasting ] - DSG room, Woerden, Netherlands. [ As Groninger Sweet Stout ].Unclear medium to dark brown amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, sweet malt, fruity malt, light roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, swet malt, caramel, chocolate note, nutty notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160923] 6-3-5-3-12

(330ml bottle shared, from Just In Beer, Groningen) Pours lightly hazed straw gold with a massive pile of white head, probably not helped by a warmer serve. Notes of sweet pale malt, fairly strong cracked wheat, bitter herbs, vague citrus peels, light pine, a touch of strange sourness, dried flowers. Off-dry on the back end with herbal bitterness and graininess and a little tart citrus. Lighter bodied with lower, effervescent carbonation. It's a bit confused, not really clear what it wants to be. There's potential but some tweaking is needed.
