An unclear brown beer with a light brown head. The aroma is malty with notes of chocolate as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor is much like the aroma except the hints of alcohol are hidden very well.

Dark amber color; big head; over-carbonated. Very nice roasted malt and caramel aroma, with some dark chocolate. The roasted malt (dry) taste and some caramel are very good; maybe missing some more malt. A very good one.

Golden color. Spicy (coriander) aroma. Quite good, dry mouthfeel, really spicy (coriander) with a strong (good) hopping, partially aromatic.

A hazy orange beer with a fine dense head. The aroma is sweet of honey and malt. The flavor is sweet honey with notes of coriander and hops before a dry spicy end sets in.

Cloudy yellow color, short white head. Aroma is spicy (coriander), yeasty, honey, bit sharp and acidic as well. Sweet honey taste, very yeasty. Dry and yeasty finish.

Amber, totally clear; huge, yellowish head. Citrus, slight caramel, faint herbal nose. Taste is caramel, toffee, and 'rather' sweet. Retronasal alcohol and faint herbs. Rather well-bodied. Far too sweet IMO. Saison is becoming a name that sells. God knows what a farm Saison brewer would think of this.

Bottle - Poured a deep amber brew with a nice resistant white head. Aroma of roastiness/caramel with a touch of floral and sweetness. Good carbonation with great body. Alcohol is subtle, which is very good, with a sweet aftertaste that might originate from honey. Overall, this is a great beer that I was lucky enough to obtain from a friend visiting Belgium.

Dark brown, hazy; very yellowish head, dense. Soupy and spicey nose (coriander), warm-alcoholic. slight sweet taste, spiced & roasted malts; retronasal coca-cola like. Slight burning mouthfeel (carbonation & roasted malts). Delicate, yes, but a bit unsatisfying too. Not really a big Christas beer.

Very slight gushing - yeast in suspension, but might have been faulty handling. Dull foxy colour; thick, white, relatively stable head. Very nice herbal smell, like "Judaspenning" (ye gods - Engl. transl.=?) and apricot. A bit fennel-like too, or parsley. Also yeasty - but see above. Quite herbal taste, bitter, perfumed. There is a perfumed, fruity and herbal taste I fail to recognise. Coriandre in it, but something besides. Paradise seed? Solid base of sweet malt. medium bodied, a bit pappy. Good balance. Tastes fade away, but with warming up a taste of liquorice. Very interesting, very good try.
