Description
Dat jongensdromen soms werkelijkheid worden, blijkt uit de realisatie van Brouwerij de Beyerd. Hiermee herstelt De Beyerd in 2004 een stukje verloren Bredase traditie. Waar in 1628 aan de Boschstraat brouwerij ‘De Drie Hoefijzers’ werd opgericht, is een kleine 400 jaar later het brouwers-ambacht terug in de straat. ‘Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek’ is dan ook het eerste bier dat hier volgens origineel recept gebrouwen wordt. Naast het Drie Hoefijzers brouwt de Beyerd ook verschillende bieren volgens eigen recept.

De koperen brouwketels en open gistkuipen geven zowel de brouwerij als het hiermee verbonden restaurant een bijzonder nostalgische sfeer. Achter de brouwzaal ligt de lagerkelder die aanzienlijk moderner aandoet.

Bottle @ Beerbecue at joes, small sample. Hazy golden color, medium frothy head. Aroma is fruity of apricot and peach, some grainy wheat, slight spicy rye. In taste slight grainy sweetness, bit fruity. Good.

Bottle shared @ Beerbecue by Joes. Opaque hazy fluorescent orange color, average sized white head. Smell and taste wheat, nice light yeast, quite a firm citrus hint, softly bitter even. Very pleasant, very refreshing. Nice!

Bottle @ beerbecue. Hazy dark yellow with a medium sized white head. Smells malts, rye, slightly fruity, slightly sour. Tastes sourish, some banana, wheat, rye. Medium body, soft to medium carbo. Kinda bruistabletlike.

Draft at Beyerd, kindly shared by the brewer, thanks! Clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma of malt, light toffee, light overripe dark fruit, soft yeast notes and light caramel. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Hazy pale yellow colour with thin lacy head. Aroma and flavour definitely have some wheaty notes. Also light banana sweetness from the yeast. Very clean tasting and fresh.

Draft at the Beyerd beer festival. Listed as Beyerd Tripel Weisse (8%). Very hazy golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma of yeast, banana, grain, caramel and light citrus behind. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
