About

Boring looks, sweet/flowery hop aroma and taste, which does not linger. Weakish body - the alc. does not show

Brown-black. Much. much too sweet. If I wanted to drink syrup I would have bought syrup. One of the worst interpretations pof Baltic porter.

It is indeed bottom-fermented, and somewhat bockish (ala a recent debate on usenet). On the sweet side, fairly clean and creamy mouthfeel. Slight roastiness sets it aside from bocks though, giving it more of a porter flavor. Pretty nice, i thought. Dark brown color - brownish foamy head. Nice lacing.

Zagtoba has a full palate; a rich, Czech-like hoppiness and fat tangy malt. Alcohol emerges late.

Deep gold, with grainy, fruity notes, a full body, and a delicate hoppiness. One of the best European strong lagers.
