50cl bottle @Norski tasting, Vaasa. Bbe 10/2018. Poured mahogany color with a thin white head. Farmhouse aroma in here, toffee and malts. Flavor has barnyard notes, caramel, sweetness. Despite the off notes pretty drinkable. Deliberately or not.

Fles in hotel te Skien. Helder lichtgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is fris, licht bitter en licht fruitig met iets van citrus en geroosterd brood. Drinkt makkelijk weg, standaard maar goed biertje.

Zwart bier met veel stevig schuim. Smaak is licht zuur en ietwat fruitig met sporen van pruimen en iets van een zuurtje wat niet echt past bij dit soort bier. Lijkt niet echt op een porter.

Sampled at Gunnfryds Barmy Army New Year’s ticker party 2017. Clear amber body with a light, tan head. Aroma feels like sweet malt with some dry fruit. Flavor is not unexpected very sweet, malt, dry fruit and some alcohol. Full bodied and aftertaste is dominated by sweet malt. Not bad, but quite sweet and one-dimensional.

170ml draught at Ølhallen. Lacing rings from a pearl white head. Warm golden body with a slight haze. Blossom citrus nose with semi-sweet malts to it. Well balanced taste profile of hopped citrus, with grapefruit up front, together with a mild touch of caramel malts. Soft mid-dry, bitter tail. A refreshing and well crafted ale (Tromsø 26.01.2017).

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet roasted, minerals, roasted grain, grass, dark sugar, rye bread, spices, toast, caramel, bark, soil, yeast, anise. Taste is slightly sweet mineraly, weeds, spices, roasted grain, grass, dark sugar, bark, yeast, anise, caramel, bark, soil. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Not really my cup of tea.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark copper colored with a small, beige head. Rather roasted aroma with some bonfire, orange zest and a touch of toffee. It’s full-bodied, lightly warming and very smooth on the palate, with some roasted kind of bitterness. Bonfire, roasted malts, toffee and orange zest in the flavor too, with some dried fruits. Lasting roasted finish with some toffee and bread. Quite pleasant this one. 170107
