Dark golden colour, small off-white head. Perfumic artifical berry aroma. Light-bodied. Sweetish, a little bit weizen character but mostly artifical blueberry and strawberry. Nope.

Can from Total Wine in Cupertino, drunk at home with a side of jet lag. Canned Feb this year, that's some time ago. Hazy orange-ish amber, big head, caramel nose with light tropical citrus sugar cane notes. Wow that's sweet, hops may have faded, leaving mandarine orange. Huge body but not really balanced with low bitterness. Tasty nonetheless.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Deep, clear golden, thin skin of white foam. Aroma is fruity, caramel, hoppy. Taste brings sweet malts, toffee, orange peel, nutty, tannins. Fresh hops must have faded, because this is one malty brew

Notes from June 2011 Gorgeous bulbous off-white head that stiffens up once it reaches it's peak. Clear, vibrant bronze/gold active body. Sweet doughy scent. Leafy green hops. Faintly peppery. Medicinal alcohol. Bland yeast. Fairly ho-hum. Taste is sweet upfront, turning slightly sharp. Middle ground is mellow/mushy doughy malt & a little yeasty character to keep it from being completely drap. A little salt. A little plastic/adhesive. Practically no bite & very little herbal spiciness. Thankfully it turns dry & toasty on the finish. One sided malt & barely any noticeable carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel, exposing a subtle margarine slickness & taste. Thins out a bit as it warms, so my rating might be a bit skewed, but why would I want to drink this warm? It does hold it's alcohol remarkably well, but this is not what I look for in a impy pils, & even as an imperial cream ale(which it leans more towards), I think it lacks the crispness it advertises on the bottle. I received this as a gift, but at $8-$10 retail in my area, I doubt I would ever drink this again, unless I saw it on draft during happy hour & had an understandable bartender who(if needed) would take it back. :/
