3 oz pour on draft at Adroit. Dark brownish black with tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, light cherries, subtle chipotle peppers. Tastes of light chipotle peppers, tart cherries and dark fruit, light chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. Was a bit hesitant about this from the sound of it but it was nicely balanced.

Sample at the Badge-Whore Bowl (OSU vs AL) tasting on 01/01/2015. This beer pours a clear straw color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of oak, yeast and fruit. Medium-bodied with flavors of vinous oak, herbal yeast and malt. The finish is oaky and fruity with a red wine aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the Badge-Whore Bowl (OSU vs AL) tasting on 01/01/2015. The beer pours brownish-black with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, oak and fruit. Full-bodied with a vinous oak character and notes of charred malt and dark chocolate. The finish is oaky with a malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Aroma of fruit, florals and yeast. Medium body with flavors of herbal yeast, astringent fruit and malt. The finish is bitter fruit and yeast. Decent overall.
