En het einde is nog niet in zicht. Zo beschikken wij sinds januari 2017 ook over een eigen distilleerderij en mouterij en staan er nog meer zaken op stapel.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Ansjelaah. Hazy orangy color, small off-white head that diminishes quickly. Don’t detect op much smoke in the aroma. Taste lightly malts, slightly yeast, smoke, quite bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

Tripel with off-white, thin head and cloudy peach blonde colour. Aroma of honey, orange, cinnamon, peach, grapefruit and cardboard. Fruity taste (pineapple, peach), yeasty, bready and caramelly malts, medium long, leafy hop bitterness in the finish. Very stereotypical.

Rauchbier with off-white, creamy head and cloudy ochre blonde colour. Aroma of smoked bacon, bitter honey, unripe peach, smoked herring, green hops, orange peel. Subdued fruitiness in the taste, green apple, dry caramelly malt profile, a bit yeasty with a long, powerful, peppery and leafy hop bitterness in the finish; smoky malts remain relatively subtle in the mouth.

Unfiltered blonde session beer with off-white, sticky, stable head and cloudy peach blonde colour. Aroma of peach, pineapple, honey, bread, orange peel, cardboard. Yeasty and fruity taste with some citrus freshness and bready malts, honey touch, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Nothing exciting but well made.

Unpasteurized ’pils’ with frothy, snow white, stable head and colour of ’old gold’, hazy. Aroma of bread, cheese, grains, soap, vanilla. Pale malts in the mouth, soft mouthfeel, grainy with sourish accent, relatively strong and dry hop bitterness in the finish. Very good Pilsener and far removed from a bland standard lager.

Heavy stout with light beige head and blackish colour with burgundy hue, hazy. Aroma of caramel, coffee with milk, dates, fried eggs, iron; candi-like sweetish onset, candied fruits, smooth, bit iron, light toasted malts in the finish, low hop bitterness. Lacks personality and bitterness but perfectly enjoyable.

Dutch dubbel with off-white, unstable head and misty bronze colour. Aroma of caramel, liquorice, bayleaf, pear, banana; sweet fruity taste, some orange, caramel, somewhat chocolatey and bit honeyish malt sweetness, grassy hops in the finish along with some cloying sweetness. Good but perhaps a tad too much on the sweet side.

Muddy grey-brown. Beige head. Smoked malt and sour smoke with a hint of burnt print cards in aroma. Similar taste and aftertaste. First taste is slightly sour on tongue. Decently balanced. Quite dry.

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Strong aroma of German beechwood-smoked malts, notes of smoked meat / sausages.Very smokey flavour, loads of smoked meat, a little malty sweetness. Sorry, this is not my cup of tea.
