Craftrock (the brewery arm of CBM)seems to be releasing smaller 250ml cans of beer. I think it’s to keep prices low as most seem to be around the 500¥ mark.

West Coast Pilsner 5% 30 IBU
Very pale straw good with eggshell white thick foam and a great mouth watering prickly pear tropical hop bouquet. Medium bodied with a crisp bone dry finish.
Honestly, this is great. It really hits the spot and has me wishing I’d gotten more cans.

Draft: Poured an orange with an off white lacing head. Aroma is big hops, piney, citrus. Taste is nice bitter forward with piney hops, light malt balance and some soft citrus notes. Full body and chewy.

As I had an excellent West Coast Pils at Yamorido last weekend I decided to give this a go:
Craftrock Glimpse 5.5%
WC Pils
Matte gold with a thick white head of foam. The aroma is fruity and spicy, but the hops kind of clash in your mouth though as uiu get sharp pine, soft coconut in the finish and brief flashes of tropical fruits.
Good but not as well integrated as Yamorido’s Skip.
Craftrock Glimpse 5.5%

Smoked Schwartz 5%
Nice smoked chocolate malt aroma on a deep cola brown pour with wispy light beige foam. The taste has more smoke and it’s got a nice soft light body which at times feels a bit too light verging on watery but overall a really pleasant drop.

22/10/2024. Draft at Craft Beer Market. Toranomon, Tokyo. Pours slightly hazy copper brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, toffee, biscuit, brown bread, spiced orange, dried fruits, tropical notes, hint of pine. Medium sweetness, quite heavy bitterness. Full bodied, smooth, average to soft carbonation. Complex and flavoursome.
