Huge thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a small head. Starts mild, malty, some spicy notes. Light bitter-metallical background. Finish less spicy. Okay.

0,33 l bottle purchased at their brewpub. Clear pale golden in the glass, small one finger white head. Some citrus and light grainy on the nose. Taste has a little bit more grain, some citrus. Soft bitterness. Mid carbonation. Boring.

My 2nd beer from Gröninger, 26 years after my first, as a student passing through Hamburg on my first European train journey. Has a nice aroma. Good malt note on the palate, lightish body. Solid, not like big melanoidins or anything, but decent.

I'd never heard of this brewery until a few minutes ago so I'm pleasantly surprised that this Bock is quite good. Hopefully I can find a couple other locals in the series while I'm here for 20 hours. I could happily drink the liter glass of this.
