Bottle. Reddish-orange, clear cider with some white head. Fermented apples and baking-yeast in the aroma and flavor, with sugar and sourness as well in the flavor. A bit astringent mouthfeel. Not worthy of repeating. (070430)

Orange body. Yeasty aroma. Flavor is apple fruity acidic, yeasty and much to sweet. Not balanced as a cider for my taste. More like an alcopop.

Tap Ryans, Odense: Clear pale yellow with off white head. Fruity sweet apple aroma. Strong sour apple taste & acidicity with a sweet end. Easy drinkable & OK pleasant!

(Bottle 27,5 cl) Clear, very pale golden with a tiny, white head. Discreet apple aroma. Fairly light and watery body, very dry with a light acidity. OK as such, just not very interesting.

Long awaited, not sold in Pennsylvania. I had to make a road trip to get this stuff. Very nice 17 oz can from England. Thanks Nuts. The pour is clear ubiquitous pale yellow american beer color. However, there’s a lot of rolling carbonation when I pour it into the glass. Many streams of carbonation are constantly rising from within the brew, very nice to look at. This makes it different than your typical beer aesthetics. A very nice ring for a head exits between the center of the brew and the edge of the glass. It is white and foamy, I almost want to touch it and roll the foam between my fingers. The aroma of this is simply apply lovely but it does have a smell that is somewhat other than pure apples, as if alcohol was added after fermentation. The taste of this is a little drier than I am used to for a cider, not that sweet. I should have expected that because it says it is dry right on the label. It does seem to be more alky than I’m used to with ciders. The alky content in this brew is not well hidden. Has a very nice feel that is quite tingly and delectable. I’ve tasted sweeter ciders but this being a little drier allows me to appreciate something that is not just a fruit drink. The hardness of the alky flavor is quite apparent continuously as you drink it. Undoubtedly better than Hornsby and K-Cider. This is a fun and easy to drink brew. Very easy to enjoy and repeatable. Finish is slightly alky dry and is apparent for a few moments after the last drink. Not as good as Fly Creek Original Hard Cider or Cider Jacks Raspberry.

I’m not that experienced to ciders. This is one of the few that you can find in Greece. Light colored, fast collapsing head, light aroma of apples, nice taste that faints quickly.Refreshing at least.

Bottled, Rob Roy Bar, Playa de las Americas, Tenerife. Clear, headless, golden cider with virtually no aroma. It has some artificial sour-sweet fruityness and some yeast. Weak flavor as well, with some apples and faint notes of yeast. Thin and a bit fizzy in the mouth. A veeery commercial cider with some apples to finish it off. (070209)

Bulmers woodpecker. I’m overexcited about this cider. Not only do I like cider but this is the first imported bottle. Up till now I have only drank the US ciders that are known to be very sweet. Wood pecker 12 oz green bottle with a twist off cap. I am quite apprehensive about this bottle because last night when I brought it in it had some ice crystals in it. Beautiful cap that says twist off but I just ripped my fingers up on it. Pop the lid with an opener and you get a sour whiff but pleasant. Nice fizz into the glass but no head. I can’t even remember the color of the fizz. Very pale yellow and crystal clear. Some bubble here and there but none streaming. It has a very enjoyable sour and sweet apple flavor during the initial taste surprise. No presence of alcohol noted whatsoever. Slight sense of carbonation on your tongue rapidly fades to flat. A very easy to drink repeatable session brew. This is not sweet like wine coolers, something different. Very enjoyable and as a result, better watch out how much you drink. Can’t wait to taste another import cider. Very nice and well liked. Finish is clean and dry without a linger except, possibly, a pleasant memory.
