Cloudy orange-amber clor. Strong sweet malt aroma, caramel, oranges. Strong mouthfeel, thick, quite alcoholic (but at 12%…), malt, sweet, fruity, oily, well bitter at the end. Very strong character.

A deep red beer with a fantastic head. The aroma is sweet malty with fruity and spicy notes. The flavor is rather sweet with notes of fruits, spices, berries, peaches, and caramel.

Bright orange-tinted copper colour with a dense off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, caster sugar, melons, raisins, bubble gum and a bit of malt-Very nice! Heavy-bodied; Super sweet and alcoholic taste-some of the fruityness lasts, but not too much. Aftertaste burned slightly from the alcohol and results in a not-so clean tasting palate. Overall, a decent beer-strong and NOT hiding that fact! I got this 25 cL bottle from the Opera House Gourmet in Manassas, Virginia and sampled it on 21-November-2003.

Clear yellow color, short white head. Lots of tiny pieces of debris floating around. Aroma is sweet, fruity of orange, caramel malty. Taste is sweet and malty and a bit sharp. Bit alcoholic palate.

Bronze colour, medium head. There's a lot of particles floating around in the glass. Fruity orange aroma. Thick, sweet mouth-feel. Smooth, fruity flavour. The alcohol is there but it just adds some extra bite.

Wonderful nose of spices, curacao?...the mouthfeel was unique, with the alcool coming out, and coating your throat...nice scotch warmth, with almost the same oak barel qualities. A repeat for sure!

Totally clear amber; yellowish, luxurious head, very lacy all the way down. Alcoholic nose, very malty (fine malts), fruit on brandy. Bitter and sweet taste at the same time; orange marmalade. Minty touch, also some ‘fleshy’ flavour – not yeasty. Very full mouthfeel. Alchoholburn rather restrained for a 12% ABV. Some carbondioxide enlivening. Bitterish aftertaste. Another of the classics though not my favourite one. Technically speaking, it’s top-class, no doubt. Too sweet for me, but not cloying.

Yellow, slight orange hue; very dense white head, lacey. Peppery, coriander nose; fruity (melon, peach?), yeasty. Fruity again in the taste and spicy. Honeyish flavour. I get alcohol-related flavours. Sweet character, but always with fruity-estery overlay. Alcohol-burn. Medium to well-bodied. Sweet apricot-like aftertaste. A bit overly perfumed to my liking. It is "interesting" however - and it effortlessly manages the alcohol-stamp of the house.

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is very light sweet with a fruit note. The flavor is rather sweet and prickles the tongue instead of being bitter. Add to this some fruity and spicy notes - and You have a nice fresh beer. It is very light on the palate for a beer that holds 7.5% ABV.

26 ratings, and only one from North America. It appears as though Smokeless Joe's is the only place on this rock where you can buy this beer. Another continent-wide exclusive! Put that in your map room and smoke it. The glass is frosted so I can't see the beer all that well - looks light tan, with a moderate head. Slightly bready aroma with notes of pear brandy, apples, white pepper. Comes over crisp - a combination of firm malts and understated prickles of carbonation. Lightish character holds the beer back - slight alcohol dryness, with sweet malts cutting in late. Cross between a Duvel-style and a saison...good but seems incomplete.
