Sampled from the side pull at the Ferndale location. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has corn and straw with some grass and a bit of bread supporting. Flavor is corn forward with a bit of hay, straw and bread backing.

Time for dessert! Ferndale Project Cherry a la Mode Sour Ale 6% It pours a pretty red color with fuzzy pink foam. The aroma is big jammy cherry pie filing. Medium to full bodied with a raspy carbonation and sour cherry flavor to which you get a sweet vanilla flaky pie crust element to it. Really tasty and it has me jonesing for some cherry pie which I don’t think I’ve ever come across in Japan…

Cloudy medium orange-brown body, thick puffy cream head. Aroma tart and juicy with papaya, passionfruit, pineapple, and orange. Soft, smooth, creamy body with citrus, stone fruits, pineapple, papaya (this tends to dominate), and pithy orange/grapefruit in the finish. Well-balanced and very good.
