Description
Formerly known as 'La Face Cachée De La Pomme' and 'Domaine Neige' but those names no longer legally belong to François Pouliot. But this is the same orchard where the original ice cider producer continues his business after losing his trademark names in a legel settlement with his former business partners.

Stylish 375ml bottle from TheDrinkShop.com. Orangey gold amber colour, no head and aroma of butter, apple pie, pastry and peach. The taste is rich sweet concentrated apple, with some pastry, honey & apricot notes and alittle tartness. Thick oily mouth feel, full bodied, no carbonation, warming tart but crisp finish. Nicely balanced and very drinkable.

Aroma is totally different from the previous 2 ciders. Definitely more of a non apple fruit character with strawberries being very prevalent. There is still a strong apple character though. Pours a clear copper amber with ruby highlights. No bubbles or head so no lacing. Medium size legs. Flavor is also different than the previous two with a lot more non-apple fruit characters including strawberry. Some light spice and moderate red apple notes. Faint hint of alcohol in the finish. More complex arrangement of flavors than in the previous two ciders. Still very sweet. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with low to no carbonation. No astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall an amazingly complex ice cider. Its amazing how much non apple character was achieved from the apples with great strawberry and spice notes. Very sweet but it finishes so smooth. This is seriously good stuff.

Big strawberry jam on top of sweet, rich apples. Peaches, grapes, caramel. Awesome. Probably my favorite of the three that I tried tonight, but all of them have been great. There’s just a lot of depth and different fruitiness knocking around in this one. Interesting and delicious.

Wonderful. These ice ciders are delicious. This one has a deeper sweetness than the premiere and a bit less earth. Fantastic caramel apple flavor. Really good stuff.

Aroma is full of sweet red apples, but slightly less sweet than the previous one. A bit less alcohol than in the previous aroma. Pours a lovely copper with nice ruby highlights. Slightly lighter color than the previous one. No carbonation or head and moderately high legs. Flavor is full of sweet caramel and sugar notes. Mid palate the apple smacks you in the face and brings in a welcoming apple note. Hint of alcohol in the finish but again very easy drinking. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with no carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall another super enjoyable cider. So much apple flavor with a nice mix of complex sugar notes and caramel.

Delicious. An explosion of apple flavor. Quite sweet but there’s a ton of depth. Earthy and thick. Viscous. Lingering tart apple aftertaste.

Aroma is very apple forward with lots of red apple character. Fairly sweet with some alcohol in the finish. Pours a clear copper with some ruby and good notes. Light carbonation but no head or lacing. Viscous with moderate sized legs. Flavor is very sweet with a very nice apple flavor. So sweet and full of overripe red apples. Hints of alcohol in the finish but not hot at all. Lingering sweet red apple qualities. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall this cider is so easy drinking and flavorful. Sweet apple character persists with only hints of the alcohol notes. This is a really nice cider.

Bottled. An amber beer with no head. The aroma has notes of over ripe apples and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, over ripe apples, and lemons, leading to a dry alcoholc finish.
