Description
Formerly known as 'La Face Cachée De La Pomme' and 'Domaine Neige' but those names no longer legally belong to François Pouliot. But this is the same orchard where the original ice cider producer continues his business after losing his trademark names in a legel settlement with his former business partners.

2006 vintage. Pours bright pale golden. Aroma is very complex: oven-baked apples, caramel, spruce, bogwood, acorn, poire-au-vin, quince... Starts sweet and oily, developing a crisp acidity and finishing long. Very good.

Bottle shared during the 2016 RB Best Awards. Many, many thanks to J. Hux for sharing this treat! Pours clear copper-gold with a few bubbles. Big juicy apple aroma, with light honey, clover, ripe apple. Hearty sweet flavour, rich and smooth, with some apple sauce, light caramel, suggestions of berries. Medium to full bodied, and lightly chewy. Warming on the finish, highly sweet, with lots more ripe apples and juicy apple sauce. Excellent. Absolutely delicious.

750 ml bottle from my mom. Nose is tart green apples, honey, and a light mild white cheese note. Clear bubbly gold with a medium white head. Flavor is lightly tart apples with a moderate sweetness . Not as nice as their pure ice ciders, but a nice tasting blend.

A Christmas gift! Poured a clear, light golden colour with no head. The aroma is powerful, full of green apple, knock out nose. Smooth syrupy mouth feel - expected that with the previous reviews. A real flavour bomb, almost an apple mead, although I’d not want to sample this in large quantities.

Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Cheers! Pours clear, rich copper with a few bubbles. Hearty, ripe apples in the nose, with suggestions of tang. Big sweet flavour with syrupy apples, moderate acidity, apple sauce. Full bodied with fine, spritzy carbonation. Warming finish with light acidic sting, rich caramelised apples. Delicious. Outstanding.

Bottle shared at the RB Best Awards Encomium - Santa Rosa, CA. Huge thanks to Julien for this rare juice. Pours clear gold. Hearty apple sauce and hints of caramel in the aroma. Moderate to heavy sweet, with gooey apples, melon, cotton candy, tangerine and honey. Full bodied, slick and chewy. Lightly warming on the finish, with more rich apples, caramel and light wood. A dynamic ice cider - there are some elements in here I can’t recall in others. Great stuff.

Has a pear, apple note, a fairly alcoholic note on the nose, with a whack of apple on the palate. Tart, and dry with some complexity.
