Sampled from the tap at Bier Stein. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is coffee forward with a bit of roasted malts and a bit of bread. Flavor is full of coffee supported by roasted malts and a hint of hay.

Sampled from nitro at Bier Stein. Pours a clear gold with a thick white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces beautifully. Aroma combines flora and citrus with a light grain backing. Flavor has grass and bitter citrus note with a bit if bread and light grains supporting.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a medium white foamy head with good lacing. Aroma brings out cardboard, some resin and earthy notes -- uh oh. Flavour is very earthy and muddy -- this is so massively old. Why are they selling such old IPAs? What a disgrace. Seems like it'd be a good beer when fresh, but at this age, this is completely undrinkable.

(tap) clear, bright amber colour with a small, white head; aroma of stewed fruit; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish; unexciting

12 oz bottle poured. Pours a copper orange color with an active fizz head. First thing I noticed about this beer: it’s called Hopsmack, yet the bottle illustrates two fists. I personally always associated the word smack with more of an open hand venture. Notice I always catch on to the important details. Bold aroma and flavor of bitter grapefruit. Creamy finish. Dominant hops throughout, though it’s not my favorite hop makeup out there. Enjoyable IPA.

Bottle from Homebrewstuff. Very dark brown pour, topped with a whispy beige head. Spotty lacing. At first sniff, and ultimately throughout the entire glass, the aroma is fantastic. Spot on for the style; roast, cocoa, and vanilla are incredibly rich and well balanced. Taste is roast and moderate bittersweetness. A little thin and unfortunately it gets a little bit chalky on the back end… it lingers in the finish.

Bomber. Pours a clear orange hue with a medium white head. A huge sweet citrus nose. Soft orange marmalade, some toast, lemons, light bitterness, loads of soft late boil additions. Wow. Very good. Very drinkable.
