Bottle from Yamaichi. Deep orange color, lightly hazy, low fine head. Big fruity nose, oranges, peaches, some passion fruit and resin. A bit of honey and biscuit. Nice. Rather sweet, herbal and fruity, some peppery hop and a bit of spice. Rounded and full, light carbonation. Good.

Bottle at Mongers. A pretty damn nice beer. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A big citrus nose, some caramel. The flavor is toasted malts, marmalade, medium resin, some bitterness, more candied fruity hops. Very smooth. I enjoyed this a lot.

On tap at Baileys. Pours a pitch black color with a small beige head. The aroma is chocolates, roast, charred wood. The flavor is big licorice, some dark chocolates, maybe a bit of lactose, light dark fruit, cocoa. Quite good.

Citrus dominates this brew, soft grapefruit aroma and taste. Normal body, color and substance, but Citra hops really make the difference here

This fairly bland, but highly drinkable. Lightweight grainy nose, with some taste of a wheat ale, lightly hopped.. Pale golden body with a scant head. Mild hoppy, dry finish. Would be good on a very, very hot day.

Pours black with small head that disappears quickly. Aroma is chocolate and smoke. Taste is more chocolate, dry finish, getting better as it warms.

Mild IPA, not quite the usual bite others are known for from this region. Light amber in color with thin head. Aroma is subdued hops, taste is caramel malt with a tiny hops nip at the tail end. Some lingering bitterness on the palate. A good started IPA for someone not used to the style.

Sample at the Tap House Grill in Seattle. The beer is a clear pale golden color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, hops and fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, bready malt and slight fruit. The finish is mildly bitter with a short hoppy aftertaste. Average overall.
