This beer is a hazy reddish-orange color with a medium off-white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing. Aroma of piney hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, tropical fruit, melon and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Cascade Lakes Salted Caramel Porter 5.8% 37 IBUs A sweet artificial caramel toffee aroma, smooth medium to light body it’s a surprisingly bitter dark chocolate flavor before you get a dab of caramel though the salt comes through strongly in the finish. Pretty good.

Cascade Lakes Pineapple KUSH IPA with Pineapple 7.1% Clear deep gold with a floral fruity piña colada tropical aroma I quite liked. The taste is earthy perfumey pineapple, after the very attractive aroma the taste is more rind than flesh, bummer.

Can from KBL. Caramel nose, coffee, chocolate, light roast. Black, with a low, airy head. Salted caramel comes through big, with roasted coffee and dark chocolate. A bit too sweet, but not crazy. Body is a bit light. Slightly roasty finish. Not bad at all, even if not really what I want.

I don’t think I’ve had anything from this brewery before. Cascade Lakes OG KUSH Hoppy Pale Ale 5.3% IBU 48 Copper gold with minimal foam and a woodsy piney aroma rather than over the top dankness I expected from the name. Simple piney woodsy bitterness and balancing sweet slightly caramel malt sweetness. Maybe a bit of heat damage but generally an alright old skool west coast hoppy beer.
