Description

Bottle - in a side-by-side tasting with the GB spéciale Amber-beer (wiich I heard of as being the same beer as Op-Ale)
Clear, amber body. Moslty lasting lightly brown head. Fair lace. Nose of yeats (light - dough) and hops (moderately - flowers) Lightly bitter, lightly sweet initial flavour. Lightly bitter finish. Result of the side-by-side: the beers aren’t exactly the same. They are very similar, but the GB beer is a little bit more watery.

Alcohol-filled, sweet taste. The yeast in the bottle taste really bad. Did I get a bad bottle?

I love juniper so I'm all over this dark juniper ale. I got lost in Ghent trying to find the frickin' Hopduvel and when I got there I was parched. Why I bought this first I'll never know but it did the trick. Refreshing herbaceousness, smooth, sweet malt backbone, slightly full and oily body.

Red/brown ale. Strong malt aroma, and light vanilla. Smooth, very nice malt flavour, parfumed and flowery like some draught English ales. Sweet final.

Spicy blond beer, with relative high alcohol percentage. Aroma could be better, not that's it smells bad, but there's hardly no aroma. Good palate, a bit dry maybe, but the spicy blond taste remains, which makes it easy to drink, and that's important in my opinion.

Interesting bready aroma and flavor that quickly gave way to too much sweetness. Very similar to the Leffe Blond, but fortunately less sweet and thus better. I'd still prefer it a bit dryer though.
