Pint at Capone's. Pours a clear, orange color, with a medium, foamy, khaki head. The nose is sourdough, dried orange, hay, water crackers, and sage. Sweet and malty, with a musty, kinda dank bitterness. Light to medium body, chalky, and chewy. Pretty nice.

16 oz can. Aroma is stale bread, caramel, toast. Flavor is a direct reflection of the nose and is spot on for the Marzen style. Lager yeast and sweet bread. Very clean and crisp. This doesn’t show any Diacetyl / butter or such flaws. I’ve had a lot of nice Oktoberfest beers this year, including this one.

16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy, straw gold color. Frothy white head dissipates to a small cap. Tart, yeasty wheat malt aroma. Flavor is funky, yeasty and hay-like. Added notes of lemon and mineral. An amazing interpretation of the famous Berliner Kindl Weissbier that I enjoyed back in Berlin in 2019.

Aromas are malt, dry grain and a little hops. Flavors are similar to nose, cleaning crisp up front with a mildly sweet finish. Decent body and carbonation. Good, not great beer.

Can. Pours clear straw, medium white head, fizzy, some lacing. Aroma is hay, lemon, funk, yogurt. Flavor is light plus tart, light plus funk. Light body. Really nice.

12oz can, undated, drunk 8/27/23. Clear copper-bronze. Off-white head quickly to ring. Mega fruity, spicy, cidery nose. Vanilla, honey, raisin and fig. Clean. Soft, with some biscuit, deep malt and plentiful fig, raisin, caramel and vanilla. Malty and attenuated. Robust, spicy, malty. Well-done and what I associate with this weird style.
