0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', bottled in October 2020. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and slightly fruity aroma of dark chocolate, hazelnut, coffee, vanilla and a touch of rum. Rather sweet, malty, quite roasty and minimally fruity taste of dark chocolate, hard roasted coffee, licorice, some vanilla and hints of rum, followed by a long, fairly roasty-bitter, quite earthy finish. Full body, smooth and creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pretty intense and roasty Impy with minor barrel influence. Way more balanced and harmonious than its bourbon counterpart, pretty good!

Nooit geweten dat Jägermeister op vat gaat. Smaakt wel prima. Zoet en kruidig, zoals verwacht. Romig.

Dunkler, trocken röstiger Beginn. Mit der Zeit süßer werdend, mild bitter, für einen Bock kann man schon sagen: Typisch NL. Kräutrig hefig, mittellanger Abgang. Okay. 10/8/9/8/11/8

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', bottled in October 2020. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a large, dense, stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of vanilla, caramel fudge, milk chocolate and traces of bourbon. Rather sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of cocoa, coffee, vanilla, caramel fudge and light bourbon, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, a little powdery and slightly earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid Imperial Stout, very sweet but nicely thick and creamy. The bourbon barrel is hardly detectable and it's a little too effervescent but, all in all, it's a pleasant sipper.

Flesje gekocht bij VVV in Liempde en thuis gedronken. Amberkleurig bier met grof schuim tijdens inschenken maar dat schuim trekt snel weg. Aroma en smaak van sinaasappel en hop. Nasmaak is iets bitter.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in October 2020. Clear, deep ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity and a little spicy aroma of caramel, chocolate, some raisins and hints of gingerbread. Quite sweet, malty, slightly fruity and a bit spicy taste of caramel, chocolate, marzipan, some raisins and a touch of gingerbread, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, warming and a little spicy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty, moreish winter warmer, a little more complex than the base beer due to the Jägermeister aging.
