Description
With a foundation in homebrewing in 1992, Paul Kavulak set about to experiment within a hobby that would prove both entertaining and, at times, refreshing. Over a period of roughly 13 years, and with the able assistance of his wife Kim, this activity led to the opening of the Nebraska Brewing Company’s brewpub in Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska, on November 17, 2007. A new production brewery and taproom were opened in January of 2014. Located on the south side of the Omaha Metro, but still a large part of the Omaha Craft Beer scene.

(Bottle, 0.66 l - vintage 2020, thanks VastActiv, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was small and white. Aroma had raisins, prunes and malts. Palate was full bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, raisins, wood, vanilla and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy and bitter. A tasty malty brew with pleasant aged notes.

Sample from the bottle at Ardes residence, Helsinki. Color is cloudy brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Ripe fruits, raisins, some whiskey, hops and malts. Simple but very enjoyable.

650ml bottle. Sweet, caramely and ripe fruity with some raisins, prunes, soft oaky notes, toffee and syrup. Quite old skoolish.

65cl bottle. Thx VastActiv! Poured brown in color. Not much head. Raisiny, sweet, smooth. Full bodied. Quite enjoyable.

--Keg at SBWF 2021. -- Black, small head. Aroma of caramel and licorice. Mid sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Vanilla, coffee and raisins. Warming finish with long bitterness.

--Bottled at SBWF 2021. -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Generous tangerine aroma. Dry with light to medium body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Tangerine and white bread. Mid bitter finish. Very refreshing.

Blik geprobeerd met LiekevdV, Kim en Sander. Het is een bleekgeel bier met een dun wit schuim. Het heeft een cider en metaalachtige geur. De smaak is moutig en hoppig.

A golden and murky beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has frutiness of banana and citrus, wheat and grain. Taste has wheat, banana, some sourness. Medium bodied. Nice beer.
