Description
With a foundation in homebrewing in 1992, Paul Kavulak set about to experiment within a hobby that would prove both entertaining and, at times, refreshing. Over a period of roughly 13 years, and with the able assistance of his wife Kim, this activity led to the opening of the Nebraska Brewing Company’s brewpub in Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska, on November 17, 2007. A new production brewery and taproom were opened in January of 2014. Located on the south side of the Omaha Metro, but still a large part of the Omaha Craft Beer scene.

75CL. Thanks Adrien. Pitch Black. 2 finger dark tan brown, very creamy head. Aroma is plenty of licorice, coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Overall, a solid RIS aroma. Lots of chocolate and espresso taste. Good mouthfeel, really well depth and brownie batter. This is awesome. I’d like it a little bit sweeter, maybe thicker.

750 from Adrien during his Going away party. Nice hazy gold color, lasting head. Aroma is oaky, strong yeast notes and a mild funky Chardonnay. The flavor shows a strong alcohol note with the yeast strong in character with a pale grain backing. Chardonnay barrel is noticeable and blend well together.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thick white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is funk and yeast. Medium mouth, light funk, spice, belgian yeast, hides alcohol well, very good.
