Cardinal Pale Ale from Nebraska Brewery pours a beautiful copper gold with a foamy white head. Served in a pint glass it has a piney resinous aroma with hints of grapefruit. Medium bodied with a somewhat scratchy mouthfeel that says "I am here". In terms of flavor it is a clean zesty pine with a dash of citrsu/grapefruits and possibly some floral/herbal elements in the finish. A solidly satisfying pale ale.

Bottle. Jet black, fluffy brown head. Beautiful aroma of vanilla, brandy, licorice. Taste is smooth rich licorice, plums, raisins, dark cocoa. Delicious. Earlier Rating: 8/30/2014 Total Score: 4Bottle. Pretty much black, brown head. Aroma of rich vanilla, cocoa, espresso. Taste has more vanilla,bittersweet chocolate, brandy. Tasty.

12 oz can courtesy of my friend Mike. Poured into a nonic pint glass. Clear dark reddish color with a finger of beige head. Aromas of caramel, malt, a little roast, some chocolate. Tastes of caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, some roastiness. Medium body with a dry finish. Medium-light carbonation. Solid and very drinkable.

Tap at Yellow Ape. Bright orange, cloudy. Estery nose, stone fruits, oranges, Belgian yeast. Decently dry and fruity flavor, peaches and oranges. Very bitter.

On tap at the AQ event at yellow ape. An opaque deep gold pour with a foamy filmy white head that lingers. The nose is a bit boozy, a bit bretty, bready kind of like a sweet thin cake. Medium to full bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. The taste is yeasty hop goodness with a good dose of boozy burn. The hops give you earthy tropical fruits - very interesting but a bit too much heat for me. Ah I forgot it was a Belgian yeast beer that explains the Brett like character I detected!

12 oz can purchased at Lukas Liquors in Kansas City, Missouri. The pour is slight hazed copper orange with a one inch light tan head that falls with nice lacing. The aroma is dusty, some grass, bit of citrus. The taste is a decent balance of orange citrus hops, the grass and cracker malt. The palate is light to medium bodied, soft natural carbonation and a clean crisp finish. Solid Pale Ale.

Can: Mild aroma of dried leaves, pecans, coffee. Clear brown, thin yellow head. Coffee and pecan flavor, a little better intensity, but still fairly mild. Neutral, neither sweet nor dry. Light body, easy carbonation. Quaffable and sessionable, but not too boring.

Can. A- Citrus, piney, spruce, resin, hoppy. A- Copper color, clear liquid, off white head. T- Bitter, subtle citrus, pine, resin. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish. O- A lot more bitterness and pine than I was expecting for the Citra hops and a lot less citrus. If you like IPA’s this is pretty solid, but personally, I was not a fan. I am feeling less and less enthusiastic about the strongest brewer from my home state.

From a 75 cl bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick off white head. Funky vinous nose with some minty notes. Flavors of tropical fruits and some cheesy bits. Tart finish.
