The can, as I said. Sheer, silver, like a bullet, a sheer bullet, a New Brunswick bullet into the new world of craft beer apotheosis. Yeah, that can. Great stuff, maybee, maybe I won't remember your beer but I'll sure as sugar remember your can. Can you imagine that? Batch 109 for the serious beer geeks out there (and ehr-ma-gehrd I wonder if any one of those at any point in time will really actually need to know that information). And I have to wonder: are we an infestation or what? Are we simply a continuation of the decisions our parents and grandparents made, in the grand scheme of things? Those of us who came over to these places for our lives, then their descendants, defending what appears to be theirs? At what point do we recognize that our agency of free choice is not that at all and we are merely a victim of circumstance whom chooses to act in the best interests of his or her ancestors even if those actions are not in the best interests of historical decisions? Like, I mean, beer does that to you - makes you wonder if the existential crisis of man shall be ever abroached or if we're just here to sing a few shaggy tunes and to hell with the rest of it all. Well if a chick had a decent ass and personality, I'd not be agonzing so much, but you know the zeitgeist of the day has made it so that there's slim pickin's..... such is the circumstance. Amidst the sugary brown body of sweet chocolate cake and wafer is a barely average body of dark ruby brown and brown body that we usually describe in the industry as "meh". Sure, bread, sure sure, but that's all she wrote and it isn't much, maybe the Hardee Boys can do something with it because I can't, I'll need way more of this mediocre beer to make that happen. The flavour is soft barley with no hint of hops.... mouthfeel is average, needs more oiliness or something but it's not too watery. I'd say that the whole experiment kind of fell flat, but then again I know that her knowing the honest truth is inside of her she'll just take the first Greyhound down to Atlantic City to sort it all out. I suppose I should follow her, console her, tell her what's best for her..... I suppose I should. I might get around to that after I finish this beer. No beer left behind, I think that's what John A. McDonald said.

I do love these cans, totally old school bare aluminium and a batch sticker on the side, if this ain't craft brew well then nothing is. But this doesn't have a very attractive look to it, good enough for sure, kind of like that chick I saw at the baggage carousel last night - wiry and sexy you knew she was trouble but you also knew a roll in the hay with her would probably be some good fun. The soft graham cracker is noticeable here, some hops too, oil coming off the modest carbonation, not a bad aroma tho not great; on the right nostril it could even be considered floral, imagine that. The flavour is soft barley boosted by a bit of hoppy sharpness and a reasonably crisp finish. I tell you what, it's adequate enough, but aside from being "craft" I'd be hard pressed to remember it in a longer span of time, and while not badly made it's not amazingly made either. That said, if I had a cabin beside their brewery I'd likely be banging on their doors asking for all their kegs delivered directly to my patio. So there's that.

Modest head on top of a redder brown body than one may be used to. There is a soft and faint aroma of cracker and just a bit of hops, but not much of it pushes up into the nose. Flavour is a lot of graham cracker with just a bit of hops on the back end to add some crispness. Good oiliness on the mouth. Really this isn't much too exciting but isn't an especially bad brew either.

Aroma is a bit musty and odd with hayish tones and apricot. Flavour has alcohol, apple candy, cereal and some mild apricot. Too boozy.

Canette 473ml. Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka fugace. Arôme de malt torréfié, grains de café, poivron vert. Goût de malt torréfié, café, un peu trop acide, âcre, soupçon de houblon résineux en arrière-goût. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen-faible.

Can from NB Liquor. Opaque mahogany under a tiny short lived khaki head. Nose is dominated by coffee with some molasses, roast and light vanilla. Light sweet with medium coffee bitterness. Mouth is medium+ and creamy with soft carbonation. A tad too much coffee. 7/3/6/3/13

Can from NB Liquor. Slightly hazy dark copper with a small short lived off white head leaving patchy lace. Nose is light caramel and resin with grass and rye. Medium- sweet malts with a medium bitterness and medium rye spice. Mouth is medium and oily with average carbonation and a light lingering bitter finish. 6+/4-/6/3/13

Can from NB Liquor. Medium copper with a slight haze under a small off white head. Nose is light tropical fruit with some melon and a hint of resin along with a light caramel malt base. Light sweet with a light+ bitterness. Mouth is a touch thin with decent carbonation. OK session. 6/3/6-/3/12
