Pours dark amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, coriander and dried fruits. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is light, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bei dem Namen "Біла Ніч", übersetzt "Weisse Nacht" habe ich irgendwie ein Weissbier erwartet, aber man erhällt ein klassisches, sehr süßes Dunkles. Für Freunde von süßen Bieren, das sind sehr viele ukrainische Damen, ist es sicher ein Genuss, aber ein besonderes Geschmackserlebnis ist es nicht wirklich.

Das "Біле", also "Weiße" ist kein Weizenbier, sondern ein Zwickel des klassischen Hellem der Brauerei. Es mag beim ersten Schluck etwas sauer erscheinen, aber beim weiteren Trinken wird es doch ganz trinkbar. Für ein Kellerbier ist es recht wenig trüb, aber trotzdem angenehm mild. Die klassischen Kelleraromen kommen zwar etwas kurz, aber es lässt sich auf jeden Fall gut trinken und ist ein guter Speisebegleiter.

Das helle Чернігівське bekommt man in jedem "продуктовий магазин" (=kleines Lebensmittelgeschäft) in der gesamten Ukraine. Auch in der Gastronomie ist es weit verbreitet. Das mag an der leichten Trinkbarkeit liegen, die viele Westeuropäer schon als langweilig wässrig empfinden mögen. Sicher nicht mein Lieblingsbier, aber durchaus trinkbar.

Head: white, medium, quite creamy, poor retention. Colour: yellow, hazy.
Aroma: appley, wheaty. Taste: sweetish and wheaty at the same time, green apple bitterness in the finish.

Big creamy beige head. Brown and hazy.
Aroma: sweetish and slightly acidic, cidery. Some wheat too. The taste is also sweetish and cidery with bitter and spicy (clove?) finish. Quite nice, fruity, spicy and refreshing at the same time.

Pale lager, typical. Not much else to say, bland and tasteless, no aroma. Watery mouthfeel, American macro brew style.

Can shared at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of hay, some bread, grainy notes, grass and metallic notes. Sweetish malt flavor, pretty bready with a mildly bitter finish with grassy notes. Light to medium-bodied. Quite easy-drinking and surprisingly a pretty good Pale Lager.

500ml bottle, shared by Rune. (Rating Session 25.Oct.2012) Golden body with filmy layer on top. Reeks like sweaty men in nylon, and antifreeze. Tastes like wet woolen mittens, moulded cheese and cooked cabbage, with a metallic finish. Nasty!

Canned 500ml. -from random gas station somewhere in Ukraine. Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, dryish nose. Moderate malty, herbal and slight hoppy with touch of alcohol in rather bitter finish. Drinkable and ok.
