Cloudy pale orange. Good off-white head and lacing. Sweet aroma of orange and grape fruit. Similar taste, balanced with sweetness. Just the slightest touch of aceton and green apples in both aroma and taste. Good bitterness. Medium long bitter aftertaste. A bit harsh, perhaps.

On tap at the brewpub. A minimal sized dark beige head sits on top of a very dark reddish brown body. Looks clear. Roasted malts, coffee and lots of pine cones, resins and some orange zest. Licorice too. It’s full-bodied and soft, with a nice carbonation level. Some roasted malts and licorice, some raisin and dark chocolate, and with a good bitterness and hoppy flavors. Lasting finish with a good bitterness and orange. A really nice one, the way I like my black IPA’s. 140808

Keg at Café Sara as Single Sara #2, 5.3 % abv. Cloudy orange coloured body, patchy surface blanketing the upper part of the glass. Fresh aroma of fruits, peaches to the fore, and dark malts beneath. Likewise, the taste profile is fresh and fruity, with lemon, pineapple and peach. Mild notes of coffee as well. Fine fruit bitter support to the ending. Medium bodied. Refreshing and quite enjoying (Oslo 19.07.2014).

Fra fat på Cafe Sara 29 Jul 14. Mørk aprikosfarget. Lavt tett skum. God, sterk aprikosaroma. Smaken forsterker aprikospreget med tilføyelse av sitrus etter hvert. Bra men litt ensformig.

On tap at Cardinal. It pours a hazy golden body and a dense finger thick off-white head leaving curtains. The aroma is citrusy, orange and some clementine, with pale malts in the back. Some peaches chiming in as well. There’s a nice bitterness going on in the mouth, with a quite dry maltyness. Oranges and pine cones, but less peachy than the aroma. It’s semi dry, full bodied and soft on the palate, with a lasting finish where the hops play the major part, just like in the aroma and initial flavor. Sure nice this one, but I’d prefer more hoppiness in the aroma and flavor. 140726
