On tap at the brewpub. A hazy dark golden beer with a dense finger thick light beige head. Grassy, citrusy hops and some sweetish caramel malts. Decent bitterness on the palate, but I’d like a little bit more. Full body and a fine carbonation level. Caramel malts, and a faint toast hint. Hop pellets, pine cones and a resin touch. Lasting finish where the hops dominates. Sure drinkable and all that, but probably the least interesting IPA from this brewpub. Lacking the freshness it should have. 140507

A lightly hazy golden-orange beer with a finger thick off-white head. There’s lots of pineapple, peaches and citrus peel on the nose, and a faint malty touch. It has a really pleasant bitterness to deal with the malty sweetness, but it’s the hoppy flavors that dominates. Pineapple, peaches and citrus. Full body and a nice carbonation level. Lasting finish with Bernard and fruity flavors. A pretty lovely one, will definitely be repeated. 140507

On tap @ Christianssand Brygghus. Slightly unclear golden with a small but dense off-white head. Quite mild in aroma, just a hint of malt and fruit. Did not find any particular fruit flavor, more a generic felling of fruit in the nose. Flavor is light malty, some of the same generic fruit feeling, could say it some kind of citric fruit, a hint of caramel and medium bitterness. Medium body with a very well made balance and a more sharp bitterness in the aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary really, but well-made and really quaffable. Close to a session IPA with the exception of the alcohol that’s by the way well hidden.

Medium beige head. Clear deep dark barely translucent red body. Resiny wild berries aroma with dusty sugary roasty notes. Dryish roasty syrupy earthy taste with resiny herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel, slightly astringent. Dryish dusty roasty caramelly aftertaste with wooden herbal spicy notes. Nice, drinkable, interesting. (0.3l draft at Café Sara, Oslo.)

Duft av karamell og noe kaffe. Dyp mørk farge, nesten sort. Dekkende brunt skum, heng langs kant. Smak av røyk, med en liten avslutning av karamell.

On tap @ the brewpub. Hazy orange body with a small but dense off-white head. Refreshing aroma with pale malt quite a lot of oranges and a hint of zest. Flavor is sweet malt and fruity with oranges and zest type of bitterness. Fine and balanced body with a good, orange fruity aftertaste. Very nice and refreshing with an orange twist.
