On tap at the brewpub. As Oatmeal Stout. Dark brown body topped by a low, beige head soon diminished. Roasted and burnt malts, chocolate and coffee in the aroma. Rather roasted kind of bitterness in the flavor, not really anything hoppy going on, with roasted and burnt malts doing the heavy work. Chocolate and coffee filling in. It’s dry and burnt on the palate, full to medium bodied. Probably my favorite of the four available on my visit. 151005

On tap at the brewpub. A lightly hazy golden colored beer topped by an off-white head leaving curtains. Some metallic notes on the nose, pale malts and resiny, piney and citrusy hops. The flavor has a decent bitterness, with the citrusy, piney hops doing most of the work. It’s full-bodied, dry and with a lasting bitter, citrusy finish. A decent IPA. 151005

Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 4 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 3.5

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a hazy, amber body under a dense, finger-thick off-white head leaving lacing. Malts and spent grains, some fruity notes and a distinct sweetish touch to the aroma. Some bready notes, a decent bitterness and a faint fruityness in the flavor. It’s full-bodied, warming and nicely carbonated, with a long finish. Sure not your everyday vienna, but not really in bock territory either. Not even a favorite of mine. 151005

On tap at the brewpub. It’s an unclear yellow colored beer topped by an off-white fingerthick head. Banana, spices and some lemon notes in the aroma. The spices are more in the hefeweizen style than in the Belgian wit style, but it’s far from bad. The same goes for the flavor, with cloves, banana, lemon and pale malts, followed by a decent bitterness. It’s full to medium bodied and nicely carbonated, with a sharp bitterness and a yeasty touch in the finish. Sure a decent one, although not your average witbier. 150905
