Sample from the source. Hazy cloudy murky I guess its a New England style ipa. Citrus resin and light topical fruits with a sweet bready malt to back it up. Pretty good, my favorite of the flight.

Sample at the brewery. Slightly hazy amber red color with a decent but short lived bubbly white head. Light caramel bready maltiness. Earthy resinous grassy hops to counter. Decent brew.

Growler shared by MCox, thanks for the opportunity. Slightly hazy deep brown with a smallish tan head. Roasty earthy cocoa with a faint pitted fruity flavor. Nice stout.

Pill bottle growler shared by Mcox90, much thanks. Deep brown in color. Aroma is light tartness or funk, slight roast, maybe a chocolate roast. Flavor leans on dark fruit and deep levels of malt. Tartness does show up in the finish. Medium in body with a slightly slick texture.

Draft at Tuckaway Tavern, Raymond, NH, 5/23/2016. Bight unfiltered yellow color, good carbonation level. Aroma show a good amount of pine and some citrus. Flavor is exactly as it smells: citrus and pale grain base with a steady amount of pine that lingers in the finish. The aroma is a bit bolder then the flavor. Average body for a pale ale. Proper carbonation level giving a mild creaminess over the palate. Overall, pretty tasty.

Cask at Cask and Vine Murky grapefruit orange color with visible chunks of orange pulp in my glass, minimal head. Big citrus orange nose and flavor with a mix of bready malt and earthy pine hops. Chunky, but tasty.

650 ml bottle with the date marked April, 2016 on the edge of the label. Hazy Amber colored liquid with normal carbonation. Aroma is grapefruit, orange marmalade and caramel malt.

With the high gravity and malt content, a imperial IPA can get to sweet and boozy. Yeah, that pretty much happens here. Candied oranges, tangerines dipped in sugar with a pine in the finish. The body is medium with the bitterness having a pine character. The bitterness comes off overly aggressive. Astringent. Overall it doesn’t sit real well with me.

A good friend of mine created a home brew that was very similar to this. This has a home brew quality to it. A very good home brew but not a completely refined recipe.

Thanks AFH for sharing. This is a reddish dark brown, a few big bubbles, some thin white head. it has a really nice smell. There’s a little vanilla, maybe some anise, cocoa powder and some roasty warming notes. The taste though, the bitterness hits you hard and lingers. I know Impies have a high IBU but something about the bitterness overshadows the rest of the beer. There’s still some chocolate, the 10% ABV is well hidden until you get a little alcohol taste that lingers with the finishing hops. DIK about this one.

650 ml bottle, purchased at Prost. About 3 months ago. Color is pitch black, weak thin tan ring of head. Aroma is weak roasted malt, molasses, caramel candies.

Flavor is mostly the same as the aroma. Mostly caramel with a weak roasted backbone. Body weak side of full with a dry texture. Sweet finish with the ABV totally hidden. I was left wanting more from this.
