Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from Ocado. Pours clear honey-yellow with a small, frothy white head. Mellow crispy pale grains in the aroma, a little hay bale, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour with soft grassy bitterness, some citrus peel, husky grains, touches of biscuity lager malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Fairly assertive bitterness in he finish, more grass and husky grain, crunchy straw, dried lemon rind. Not bad overall.

I was told that the brewer himself brought this in to my local bottle shop and according to the beer’s availability on the site, it can only be found in Crossville TN and Scotland, England and Wales. I am proud to be the first US rater of this beer. Cloudy orange body with a tall, frothy off-white head. The aroma is yeasty bread dough and banana. The flavor is lightly sweet and fruity. No hops here either in the aroma of flavor. I’m not a big fan of wheat beers in this style.

I am proud to be the first US rater of this beer. Bottle best before 02SEPT2018. Pours dark for an IPA, Clear deep amber with a generous, rocky, mostly white head. The aroma is toasty, nutty toffee and caramel with just a hint of floral hops. The flavor is lightly bitter with a dry finish. Not a hoppy US IPA, more British by style. Decent for the style. Recommended for non hop heads.

Merry Christmas Eve 2016! I was told that the brewer himself brought this in to my local bottle shop and according to the beer’s availability on the site, it can only be found in Crossville TN and Scotland, England and Wales. I am proud to be the first US rater of this beer. Dark brown, almost opaque but giving up a little garnet at the edges under strong light. Minimal tan head. The aroma is smoky, roast malts, with a bit of coffee and cocoa. The flavor is lightly sweet, smoky and nutty. The palate is light but not watery. Interesting and a bit different.

Bottle as a gift. If I were a betting man I’d say this came from Ocado. Dark purplish brown with a quickly dissipating khaki head. Chocolatey and surprisingly smoky in the nose. Plum and a hint of maple syrup. Sweet taste which carries some savoury smokiness (biltong?) and a touch of liquorice. Body is quite thin but the finish is long, and the aftertaste yields salt liquorice and yeast extract notes. Impressive.
