This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a good thirty seconds. There was a light trickling lacing sliding into the beer.
The smell had a really nice sweet to roasty to nutty to caramel to toffee conglomeration all invading and inviting to the Autumn season.
The taste was malty sweet with a nice Autumn authentic roasty nutty toffee to let up a decent coffee in the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a nice rolling sweet smooth roasty coffee to sweet toffee nuttiness about my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Autumn brown ale that I would have again.

The appearance was a hazy burnt orange color with less than a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a half minute. There was some light stringy lacing.
The smell had some burnt caramel malts kind of coming through in a toasty sort of way.
The taste was somewhat sweet and toasty.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. However, there seems to be a bit to be desired to show some kind of meat to this thing.
Overall, I say this was a one off for me. I most likely wouldn’t have this again.

This one doesn’t get much love since a fair amount of people know Shipyard owns it, but here goes:
Pours a light red and gives a darker red body with one finger white foamy head, some light slowly moving carbonation is seen rising; Smell is caramel malts up front, light hops,Taste is mainly sweet through previously mentioned flavors, Palate is light to medium, sessionable, caramel aftertaste

Deep reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt grain and fruit. Light-bodied with a slight roasted character and notes of stale malt, overripe fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is short and malty. Below average overall.

Bottle. Pours with a clear brown hued body with a small off-white head that fades. Aromas are pretty generic. Medium malty, nutty, brown sugar, caramel malt. On the sweet side. Low hop aromas, medium clean yeast wise. Flavors are malty, nutty, caramel, and brown sugar with some low fruity esters. Medium bubbles, a bit sweet, medium bodied.

Bottle. Pours with a clear copper hued body with a small off-white head that doesn’t last. Aromas are quite sweet, caramel/crystal malt, a good amount of fruity (British like) yeast esters, strawberries, light hops. A touch of vegital, DMS like aromas. Flavors are strongly of caramel, crystal malt, tea, lightly hoppy, iced tea. Bland, but not completely undrinkable. Medium bubbles, lower body. Really bland.

12oz bottle pours a nice clear deep rosy red amber with thin tan head. The aroma offers up dark fruity estery notes like various cherries and cherry hard candy as well as slight malty notes and spicy black licorice. The taste seems to beam with sweet cherry dark fruity esters and spicy black licorice. Man the more I drink the more anise and black licorice like spiciness I get along with lingering cherry candy notes. Interesting.

Bottle. Light malt and orange aroma. Clear fizzy orange with a small off-white head. Watery grainy malt flavor... like a slightly better than average macro lager. Light carbonated body with a dry finish.
