Dark brown with a big head. The aroma is vague, with light chocolate. The palate is light, again a little bit chocolatey. Again, though, there is an infection here and you have to look past the faults if you want any enjoyment.

Blonde, hazy. Smells like a witbier, with the characteristic spiciness. This has phenols and tartness, and light wit-ish spiciness. Strange, but the faults make more sense in this style than in most of the other ones they make, so it is the most drinkable beer in the house.

Hazy tan-brown. The aroma is a bit phenolic and this character starts to dominate after a while. Again on the palate the phenolic character is overwhelming. Light body and a soft, lightly caramelly and lightly fruity charcter but the faults are too tough to look past.

Bottled. Dark brown, rich firm head. Striking early coffee aroma. Dryish and light bodied. Roasty with soft mouthfeel. The pleasant roasty/earthy malt flavour carries this beer. The hops are playing second fiddle, but some nice bitterness are noted late in the finish. Perhaps a little more body could’ve brought this porter up another level, but already as is it is a fine, unusually quaffable porter with a lot of depth.

Bottled. Golden colour, lightly hazy, small head. Grassy nose. Medium sweet and light bodied with some fruitiness. An easy going refreshing ale where some grassy hops provide late bitterness.
