Bottle in Paris, 2006. Light blonde color. Highly carbonated. Good head. Slightly sweet, malt aroma. Huge hops. Tastes more like a pils than a Belgian ale. Decent malt character, just a bit sweet. A very interesting brew, a bit unlike any other type. Malt finish with a lot of hops too. There is a bit of sweetness remaining, a touch of fruit.

Ok, I am not quite sure when this bottle was from so I don’t know if it was really aged or not. However, it pours a white foamy head and a reddish body. Has a really pretty fruity aroma. The taste is fruity and slightly sweet; maybe even a little winy. It is a little dry and slightly bitter with notes of honey. An interesting beer and pleasant to drink.

100ml taster from a bottle at EBF 08. Hazy golden with a white foamy head. Sweet, fruity aroma. Taste of light spices and a careful touch of sappy oranges. Refreshing, but lack of bitterness. Rather too sweet for my palate (14.09.2008).

Amber-orange body with a decent, off-white head in my 100ml glass at EBF 08. Sweet, dried fruits to the nose. Taste of stewed fruits on a sweet malty background. Soft texture and quite mouth filling carbonation (Copenhagen, 14.09.2008).

Bottle, Academie de la Biere, Strasbourg. Dark amber colour with a small, off white head. Malty, caramel aroma. Thinnish palate, lively carbonation. Some spiciness in the flavour which mixed with some red fruit just about works. Slightly bitter finish. Ok-ish

(75cl bottle) Slightly hazy, amber colour with medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet, slightly toasted dark malty aroma with caramel and a distinctive touch of alcohol, backed by a light herbal hoppy note. Sweet and a bit sugary flavour, quite light bodied mouthfeel; soft on carbon. Dark malty, slightly toasted taste with caramel and a touch of liquorice; fairly slim, toast-malty, sweet and faint bitter finish (19.07.07).
