Sampled at the Kegger. This formed a small head over a straw colored body. The aroma was restrained and delicate but exhibited a yeasty bready maltiness along with some characteristic Belgian aspects to it. Light palate, smooth and easy drinking. This beer is all about is subtleties not its forcefulness.

Expensive and at the bottom of its style. This was marked down to $7 from $11. It is ok for 7. The beer is dark brown. There is light fruit in the aroma. Somewhat sweet, fruity malt like a dubbel; which is what I thought it was while drinking it. Highly carbonated with a strange spritzy quality.

Bottle. Labeled as St Amand French Country Ale. Rich amber-brown beer with a small beige head. Toffee, yeast, and some raisin in the aroma. Nice rounded toffee malt flavor with some light citrus notes and a bit of herbalness. Medium bodied. Nice smooth and mellow drinking. LIngering malty, herbal quality.

Large Bottle. Pale gold colour, plenty of fizz with a large white head. Very easy drinking beer which is a bit too heavy on the honey laden overtones. The sweetness ruined it a little for me as all I could taste and think of was this.

Bottled. Nice creamy head. Yellow beer. This beer reminds me more of a pale lager than a blonde. And it would have been an awesome pale lager, but as a blonde it lacks the complex tastes of that style. A smooth beer.

Pours a bright yellow/gold into a snifter. Very malty, earthy smell -- a little hay. Very little head retention. Very active, fizzy. Long malt finish. Very nice and refreshing.

Bottled. A bit hazy, pale yellowish golden colour, small white creamy head. Sourish sweet aroma (almost barnyardish) with some citrus in background. Biting carbonation, otherwise papery and thin palate. Fruits in flavour with hints of some hoppiness in finish. Quite interesting beer, but at the same time boring.

Amber hazy ale with a thin white head. Sweet vanilla in aroma, with maderized malt, vinous notes. Sweet malt in mouth, oxidized. Light orange notes. Oily nouthfeel. Bottle shared with Gonzobeer. Merci Hans.

Bottled (BB 09/2006)
Hazy pale golden color, small white head. Sour, sweety bun aroma, like in unclean tap, some citrus and malts in the background. Carbonated mouthfeel, quite thin body. Lemon, orange, faint yeast and honey notes. Plain but somehow interesting organic beer.
