Description
Snowdonia Parc has a microbrewery on-site that is used to brew a variety of real ales under the brewery name Snowdonia Brewery (Bragdy Eryri in Welsh).

The brewpub started brewing in Summer 1998 using a 2BBL plant. It is based in the old Station Masters House.

Cask @ Snowdonia Park Freehouse, Waunfawr. Clear copper coloured ale with a creamy head. Bitter in character, with a slightly creamy aftertaste. Crisp with a maltiness.

Aroma of lemony grains and lager hints. Modest head and foggy yellow body. Flavour is weak grains and lemon. Watery. Not a very interesting beer.

Cask at the brewpub. Lightly hazy golden. Juicy medicinal nose. Sweetish and fairly light bodied. Lemon juice, bandaid and cough medicin. Chalky finish. Not good.

Cask at the brewpub. Copper colour. Medicinal nose with bitter orange and caramel. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly malt covers the medicinal notes to some extent. Mid-bitter, slightly chalky finish.

Cask at the brewpub. Pale amber. Medicinal nose with some orange. Medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel, Mid sweet with chalk, citrus and medicinal notes. Light resiny bitterness.

Cask at the brewpub. Dark brown. Fruity nose with some cocoa. Moderately minerally with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly with less chalkiness than other Snowdonia offerings. The best of 4 beers at the brewpub.

Draught (at the brewpub): Slightly hazy amber coloured; fruity, a bit sweet-malty nose with a tinge of molasses; sweet-bitter flavour; sweetish-malty and - no doubt - fruity finish with a late bitterness. A strongish. well rounded and well balanced bitter.
