Bottle at home. From Sterk Amsterdam. Best before 05/2018. Pours unclear amber with massive offwhite foam. Smells sour and yeasty. Sweet malts, caramel, licorice, dried up yoghurt, dried fruit, leathery, nutshell, dry earthy leaves, herbs and spices, light pepper, some sage and coriander. Moderate sweet and quite bitter, something light salty and sour too. Medium body, quite heavy malty, strong carbonation. I was expecting a smoked beer by the name. It’s a weird murky earthy and slightly fruity Sahtanic ale.

Sweetbitter and sourish aftertaste, lemon pith, chalky and spicy notes, bit salty on the tongue. Light body, watery texture, average carbonation, nice refreshing witbier.
