Description
Threes Brewing is a Brooklyn-based brewery known for crafting approachable beers that balance simplicity and complexity, with a focus on lagers, hop-forward American ales and mixed culture beers. In addition to selling beer in over 150 bars, restaurants and shops across New York State, Threes Brewing runs a non-traditional tap room and event space in Gowanus, as well as a satellite bar and event space in Greenpoint.

At the source: pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is strawberry, vinegar and your general sourness. Taste is lightly sour but the finish gets more powerful. Some weird funk. Pretty good. The light sourness does this good.

At the source: pours gold with a white head. Aroma is candy sugar and a bit of yeast. Taste is citrus, tanginess, some bitterness at the wnd. Very crisp. Zesty but kind of bland. Not up to par for either brewery.

At the source: pours slight hazy pale gold with a ehite head. Aroma is light malt and hay. Taste is slightly lemony. Not very bitter. Not sweet. Lightly dry. Pleasant and easy to drink.

Draft at The Ginger Man, NYC. Clear gold with a white head. Aroma of citrus and malt. Taste is malt, citrus, pine, and light cereal. Clean finish.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark malty and roasted. Dark malty, wooden, acetone likeand roasted malty. Bitter and herbal. Dry and wooden far finish.

The Sampler, BROOKLYN tap: pours yellow with a white head. Aroma is funky farmhouse smells, minerals, yeast. Taste is not very bitter or sweet. Quite dry. Pretty easy to drink.

Draught @ Malt and Mold. Opaque dark brown with large spongy tan head, whisky aroma, low carbonation, strong whisky taste, thick body, long mocha finish with underlying alcohol. The whisky taste is very strong.

The Sampler, Brooklyn tap: pours hazy gold with a nice white head. Aroma is light pine, light flowers, and some tropical fruit. Taste is moderately bitter, but nothing too crazy (it ain’t 2005 no more). Not very sweet. Slightly oily medium body. Lots of res. Nice contemporary IPA.

Beer Table to Go, NYC tap: pours hazy orangish yellow with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit and brett. Taste is bretty funk with lots of tropical fruit. It seems like it almost gets to sourness but never really to the point where that would be the correct word. Interesting. Tasty.
