Bottle. Dark brown with shakes of red and a massive beige white head. Aroma of malts and dried fruits. Taste of caramel, dried fruits, spices, cherries, red berries, yeast and some clove. Low to moderate bitterness. Medium to strong carbonation. It’s alright I guess but basically It’s something to shrug your shoulders to.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, amber colour with average, frothy to macropore, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Minimally bready, wheaty malty and slightly yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy aroma, hints of sea buckthorn, whiffs of white pepper. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally bready, wheaty malty and yeasty fruity, minimally yeasty spicy, hints of yellow apple, some pear, sea buckthorn, diluted hints of banana, a touch of white pepper, mildly bitter hoppy counterpart.
Watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation.
Interesting, slightly untypical fruitiness, fairly refreshing - nice.

From bottle at 4e Noordelijk Lentebieren festival Leeuwarden. Aroma is fruity, citrus, curacao, light malt. Flavour is light bitter. Pretty enjoyable light refreshing fruity beer. I didn’t notice any sour flavours, so the quality of this beer appears to vary a great deal.

Bottle from a local supermarket. Yeasty and fruity aroma with pale malt, spicy notes, candied citrus, coriander, orange peel, and a hint of stone fruits. I do get a little alcohol in the finish. Flavour is fairly sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied. Decent Belgian style, an improvement upon the original Koan.
