Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is grainy malt with straw and some mildly grassy noble hops. Flavour is moderate bitter with a light sweetness. Medium body. Not bad, especially for a Belgian Lager.

Bottle, gift. Dried fruits upfront with spicy yeast, brown malts, leaves, figs, dark & red fruit nuances, spicy notes, candy sugar. Fairly sweet flavour, light bitter. Above medium body. Good, sweet but I appreciate the fruity notes in the aroma.

Big bottle shared. Bit hazy golden with big fluffy long lasting head. Looks quite nice! Sugary, peach candy, light grains, apricot, spicy yeast with allspice and a hint of coriander. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied. Not too bad, but quite sweetm

Finely carbonated, clear orange-golden beer to fast disappearing small yellowish head. Alcohol, white candi sugar, bit spicy/herbal; bread or even sugarbread, faint toast. Quite sweet indeed, alcohol & restsugars. Alcohol lends it a rather jenever-like flavour, not raw booze but nothing subtle either. Juniper, ever so slightly peppery or Szechuan pepper; dry finish. Not very hoppy - at all. Alcoholheat, sticky sweetness, well bodied despite alcoholthinning, good carbonation. Too sweet by half, IMHO. And then calling it 'tripel' to boot - ànd 'hoppy'...

0,25 l bottle. Pours deep red with a finger of dirty pinky head that fades quickly, but leaves veil on top. Some lacing on the glass. Aroma of both sweet artificial cherries and sour cherries. Taste is medium sweet and minimal bitter, a hint of sourness. Body is light, but no overly thin. Finish is short, fruity an a bit sour.
