Keg at Bottles & Barrels, Gurgaon. Hazy amber, mid sized head. Unusually, somewhat caramelly cane sugar aroma. Sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel, low carbonation. Cottony with spun cane sugar on rye bread. Low bitterness. Strikingly different, yet harmonious and unassaulting.

Keg at Bottles & Barrels, Gurgaon. Cloudy straw colour, small head. Fruity nose with with some dough and the mildest touch of coriander. Mid sweet with medium body and well rounded mouthfeel, low carbonation. Fruity with white bread. Very low bitterness.

(Draught at Bottles & Barrels, Gurgaon, 27 Oct 2017) Reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, dried fruit and brown sugar. Malty taste with notes of caramel, brown sugar, raisins and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Drinkable, but not very complex and not quite as bitter as the name would suggest. Enjoyable.

Malty, wheaty taste with white bread, vanilla, grass and a sweetish finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Drinkable but bland. Enjoyable.

Malty, sweet taste with notes of caramel, sugar and spices. Medium body, quite sweet. Interesting, but hardly complex. Distinct character of jaggery (concentrated and unrefined cane sugar). Enjoyable.
