Visibaba Brew Co.
Client Brewer in Zagreb, City of Zagreb, Croatia 🇭🇷
From homebrews to festivals, the adventure pushed them to explore the Balkans in order to find the proper Brewery to welcome their Gipsy Brewing Trip. Searching from Croatia to Slovenia, it ended up hitchhiking a tractor on the country roads of Serbia where they discovered the Magic fountain of Kabinet Brewery.
The 2 unconventional belgian dudes then started to liquify their dreams and adapt their homebrew recipes to give birth to Visibaba Beer. Using all the best of local products combined with the finest ingredients from all over the world, they combined belgian brewing traditions with their eccentric innovative ways to make things Differently. The belgian Connection has already been joined now by legendary John Lemon, Janis Hoplin and Bob Barley ready to push the Craft beer Revolution to another level!

Bought at Svijet piva, Zagreb, Croatia. Drank at the park with Knez Domagoj and Habek. Interesting malty aroma between the hops. Not a typical IPA, pale in color, not very bitter, sweet, floral hoppyness, hints of alcohol. Light body, low carbonation, drinkable despite the alcohol.

Bought at Svijet piva, Zagreb. Shared with Knez Domagoj and Habek, drank from bottle in the park. Looks dark brown. Chocolate, roasted barley, bitter, hoppy. High carbonation, very full body. Very tasty, perhaps carbonated to much. I recommend it!

Pours a slightly hazy pale yellow collor, topped with more than decent white head that stays around. Quite strong spicy aroma, also some fruity notes there, but very gentle. The taste starts slightly sweet, but soon turns into a heavy spiciness - peppery feel. Spicy aftertaste stays quite for some time.

Huge thanks to the Dva Tona guy for bringing these for us to try! Poured a misty golden body with lively carbonation and a big white head. Creamy aroma with nice nose of citrus fruits and herbs. Slightly strange, at first, creamy, spicy, bitterish peppery-herbal note, mint, maybe sage, nicely smooth taste, good mouthfeel, the citric notes do pop up later on. Slightly perfumey, but, in the end, the most likable of their three beers for me and a good wit. Well... it’s Belgians brewing a Belgian style, who would’ve expected anything different. :)

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Black coloured, small brownish head, mild chocolate nose. Slight roasted malt, chocolate and light alcohol with discreet notes of coffee. Also some notes of hops in the finish. Not bad at all.

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Unclear yellow coloured, medium sized white head, soft coriander in the nose. Slight peppery and spicy, coriander and yeast with notes of hops. High carbonation. Average and nothing exciting here.

Bottled 330ml. -from Svijet Piva Zagreb. Deep orange/pale amber coloured, small off-white head, slight perfumed light hoppy nose. Moderate malty, citrusy hoppy and touch of alcohol with notes of orange in sweetish finish. No real bitterness. Drinkable.

Shared with Motelpogo at Dva Tona (thanks!). Porued a lovely peachy amber body, murky, with an off white head. Creamy, papery malty aroma, light herbs, light alcohol... IPA? Not really. The taste is initially an even worse disappointment, meaty, yeasty, some light stupid bitterness for a sec, and then a perfumey, creamy taste breaks through, reminiscent of their Rakijarnica beers (is this an alias of Rakijarnica IPA?), herbal, slightly orange, and wins through in the end, which is a plus, making this a nicely drinkable beer which is good unless you’re expecting a proper IPA. Would’ve scored more if not for the mess. Yay, 3900!

Shared with Motelpogo @Dva tona (thanks!). Poured a daaaaark brown body with an off white head. Interesting aroma... plum, malty notes, herbal, very very light tanginess, some coffee. Nice! Creamy, malty taste with ordinary, mild bitterness and some herbal hop presence. Definitely an improvement over the beers they released before!

Bottled 330ml. -from Rakijarnica stand during some street art fest in Zagreb. Cloudy golden/amber coloured, medium sized white head that went away really fast, quite stronf flowery nose. Moderate malty, light caramel and pretty strong hoppy with touch of fruits. Also strong bitter finish and aftertaste. Better than Citra for sure but all in all nothing special here.
